Your NYC Weekend Itinerary
IT'S BLOOMING BABY!
Your WHAT, WHEN & WHERE for NYC LGBTQ Events!

We survived the political storm & we left our homes & we voted in a primary for the first time in 40 years! It's been 40 years since NY's vote actually counted for a primary. How many of you voted for the first time? How many of you voted in the last NY primary prior to 2016?

By the way, did you know that we had some "hate mail" because of last week's newsletter? Someone had the "balls" to tell us that they felt we were trying to "sway" your vote and that they " BELIEVE IN THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN." (Yes their entire email was in ALL CAPS!)

W e responded:
"Our email is not trying to "sway" people into voting Democrat. Our email clearly mentions that we were describing a "super quick rundown on Marriage Equality." In addition, we ONLY wrote what each candidate has said on record. If the candidates' own words alienate voters then it is each candidates' responsibility to own it and face the consequences in the matter of votes gained or lost."   ......    and then we explained OUR views on Marriage Equality and how WE all deserve the right to marry, etc, etc, etc.....

We are already seeing lots of flowers blooming, and lots of events going on, so we encourage you to post your events on our website. If your organizations, club, group, etc is hosting an event in NYC that our LGBTQ community should know about - then we ask you to please visit our website to upload your info and reach over 45,000 readers on a weekly basis.

Daddy Issues

It's 1982 and Donald Moscowitz has overbearing parents. They disapprove of his choice of profession (actor), his flair for decorating (pastels) and his lifestyle (homosexual). The one thing that would make them happy is a grandchild. His solution: hire the ten-year old kid downstairs to play his son. What could possibly go wrong?

Agghhhh we just read an article that says that NYC is one of "The Worst Places to Live in America." According to U.S. News and World Report's evaluation of 100 of the most populous cities in the US, we came in at #96! How do you feel about that? Agree or disagree?

If you are following politics - what on earth is going on there!?!?! OMG craziness, this past Super Tuesday was  wild & nuts. The GOP is standing on its head trying to figure out what to do with the one who shall remain nameless & the DEMs are fighting over who is the most liberal. It's quickly become the best sitcom on tv!

NYC and the rest of the world are dressing in GOLD this weekend as everyone seems to be in OSCARS mood! Although there are plenty of controversies about the Oscars excluding minority nominees, there are plenty of places around our city that are hosting viewing parties - and are actually betting that they will be the big winners in attendance.

Is anyone following the political environment? Oh boy! What do you think should we get political in upcoming issues? Let us know your thoughts.

Don't forget we constantly update our Calendar of Events & always add new "What To Do In NYC" and contests (scroll to the bottom & click on pic to enter).
