(LGBT Community Center, 208 West 13th St, New York, NY 10011) (6pm) Calling all opera lovers, their admirers and all who enjoy brilliant gay theatre, The Lisbon Traviata, is the flamboyantly bitchy, and brilliant gay play that inimitably explores gay relationships, and celebrates opera gay icon, Maria Callas, written by award winning playwright, Terrence McNally. This fabulous evening will star a talented and sexy cast from Broadway and Off-Broadway, which include Jeffrey Schecter, Will Taylor, Patrick O'Neill and Timothy J. Alex who among others will donate their time and talent in support for a great cause. LGBT Theatre is an emerging not-for-profit all-inclusive, organization that is dedicated to producing theatrical work. All proceeds will benefit The Center and LGBT Theatre.

Victor, a Holocaust survivor persecuted as a Jew and gay man confronts his complicated past. Victor relives falling in love for the first time with a non-Jewish boy, coming to terms with his sexuality, and his own family's dysfunction against the backdrop of the Nazi rise to power. Playwright and Taglit-Birthright Israel alumnus Jason Mitchell will be joined by the original New York cast of THE RED BOX. The evening will include a Q+A and reception following the reading.
